It could only happen on the CMA Awards red carpet. Country fan and star of Netflix’s “Love on the Spectrum” Tanner Smith got to meet country icon Vince Gill and wife singer-songwriter Amy Grant ahead of the CMA Awards Nov. 19 in Nashville.
Smith, who also attended this summer’s CMA Fest, returned to Nashville for the 59th annual CMA Awards, where Gill will be honored with the 2025 CMA Willie Nelson lifetime achievement award for his impact on the growth of the genre, the music industry, and on fans.
