Jeff Goldblum is dressing like God

Jeff Goldblum has always dressed a bit otherworldly. He wore a massive shearling fur hood to the debut of Wicked in 2024. His Met Gala looks have featured a continuous increase in fur, jewels and length as the years have progressed. Even when he’s wearing Regular Clothes on the street, he has what the kids would call aura. But on one Wednesday afternoon, Goldblum upgraded from guardian fashion angel to actual fashion God.

On his way to see his wax sculpture at Madame Tussauds, Goldblum was snapped in a full white outfit. Which is a huge thing to pull off. It can wash you out. It can scorch retinas. It can be ruined with just one rogue drop of coffee. And yet Goldblum pulled such a big move off because he’s forever pulling big moves off; in fact, divine all-whites is small fry for a guy that’s been dressing like an actual wizard on the Wicked sequel campaign trail.

There are so many ways to dress monochromatically. And this Goldblum fit is at the hardest end, but the same issue arises for any colour. You’d be hard-pressed to find the exact same shade three or four times in your wardrobe. Clothes are bought at different times, in different materials, and of different quality, meaning things won’t age and patina like each other. But this Goldblum outfit shows you how to deal with that issue. It’s a balanced mix of pure white garments and those with slight imperfections. Combined, it’s makes for a textbook monochromatic display.

This Jeff Goldblum fit is heavenly for so many reasons. Not only does he look like he’s giving Morgan Freeman a run for his money in Bruce Almighty, but it’s a textbook way to double-down on on one shade. Amen.
