Why is First Take at Bethune-Cookman?

“First Take’s” trip to Bethune-Cookman is part of its largest HBCU tour to date. It’s timely, with the Wildcats’ annual Florida Classic football game against archrival Florida A&M on Saturday.

Last year, the show visited three HBCUs.

Smith attended one as a student, graduating from Winston-Salem State, where “First Take” recorded in 2019.
