Early December weather forecast: wet weather set for several states on Christmas day

Early predictions are in for December’s weather forecast, including Christmas Day, and it’s looking wet in several states.
Accuweather has revealed its long-range weather forecasts for next month each of Australia’s capital cities.
Here’s what’s in store for the central hubs of each state and territory.

Sydney is set for a rainy December, with cloudy conditions and showers predicted across the month.
Temperatures will range from average lows of 19 degrees to highs of up to 28 degrees.
Storms are expected in the leadup to Christmas, but Christmas day should be dry.
It’s currently looking cloudy with a high of 27 degrees.
December will be warm but cloudy in Melbourne, with average highs around 25 degrees and lows around 13 degrees.
Some rain and thunderstorms are predicted towards the end of the month.
Christmas day is expected to be sunny with some cloud cover and a high of 24 degrees.
It’s going to be hot in Brisbane this December, with average highs of 30 degrees or above and lows of about 21 degrees.

Expect plenty of sun with a few summer storms thrown in around the middle and end of the month.
Christmas day is predicted to be sunny with patches of clouds and a high of 28 degrees.
Canberra will enjoy a balmy December, with average highs of around 26 degrees and lows of 13 degrees.
The skies will be a mix of sun and cloud cover for most of the month, but current predictions show showers on Christmas Day.
December 25 will still be hot though, with an expected high of 28 degrees.

December is looking hot in Adelaide, where temperatures are predicted to reach highs in the low 30s and lows in the mid-teens.
Most of the month will be sunny, with patches of cloud throughout.
Unfortunately, Christmas Day is currently slated for rain but the high of 27 degrees could make up for the wet conditions.
Perth will experience a sticky summer based on current predictions for December, with average highs around 31 degrees and lows around 18 degrees.
Most of the month will be sunny with a few isolated storms.
Christmas Day is expected to be cloudy with a high of 29 degrees.

December in Darwin will be sweltering, with predicted average highs of about 34 degrees and lows of 26 degrees.
Expect rain and storms throughout the month, including on Christmas Day.
Based on current predictions, December 25 will arrive with thunderstorms and a high of 32 degrees.
Hobart will enjoy a more temperate introduction to summer, with plenty of sun and a smattering of rainfall through the month.
Average highs will sit around 25 degrees, with lows of about 13 degrees.
Christmas Day is looking brisk and cloudy at this stage, with a predicted high of just 19 degrees.
