EastEnders fans ‘work out’ what’s ‘actually happening’ after major Zoe Slater stalker twist
The character’s family on the BBC soap are beginning to share her fears for her safety

EastEnders fans are saying that they’ve ‘worked out’ what’s ‘actually happening’ after a major twist occurred in the Zoe Slater stalker storyline.
The character played by Michelle Ryan has endured a tough period since returning to the BBC soap earlier in the year. Having already been shot by Ravi Gulati and Jack Branning, Zoe’s actions have left her friends and family concerned that she’s struggling with her mental health.
On top of Halloween night seeing her suffering a fall after hearing a noise in the Queen Vic that no one else heard, Zoe has discovered a number of pictures with her in them have been vandalised. With her former boyfriend Anthony Trueman fearing she’s having a ‘breakdown’, it remains to be seen what the direction Zoe is going in heading into the busy Christmas season.
While trying to get to the bottom of who’s targeting her, Zoe has been trying to locate her son who she hasn’t seen since giving birth to twins in 2006. Following the flashback sequence, where she believed her daughter died, fans have also been trying to figure out who the father is.
On Wednesday (November 19), Alfie Moon continued to be suspicious of Zoe, believing she’s the one behind all the attacks against her. However, to appease Kat, Alfie agreed to get Freddie Slater to investigate the negative reviews aimed against the Queen Vic.

Alfie was even more annoyed when his and Kat Slater’s son Ernie accidentally sprayed Zoe’s pepper in his face. Kat tried to defend Zoe as Alfie demanded she must leave but they were all shocked when a disturbance downstairs led them to discover a threat message written in the barrel store.
In scenes aired on Thursday night (November 20), Alfie apologised to Zoe for doubting her as they found an earring in the barrel store, which Zoe was convinced must belong to her tormentor.
Kat agreed to help Zoe as she tried to establish if the earring was Vicki Fowler’s, who Zoe has been in a feud with for several weeks. However, it turned out that Vicki didn’t have anything to do with the earring.
In a stunning cliffhanger, Alfie and Kat were left shaken when Jean Slater spotted the earring and thanked them for finding it for her. Jean has been going through hard times of her own, feeling unloved since her daughter Stacey Slater left Walford for Brazil last month.
In spite of all the signs pointing towards Jean being behind the attacks towards Zoe, EastEnders fans on social media are convinced that it’s a red herring. Meaning, Zoe’s stalker may very well still be at large.
