KISS presenter Tyler West and his girlfriend, EastEnders actress Molly Rainford, are competing in the third series of Celebrity Race Across the World. They’re joined by Roman and Harley Moon Kemp, Dylan Llewellyn and his mum Jackie, and Anita Rani and her dad Balvinder.
Ahead of the third episode airing on Thursday 20th November, love birds Tyler and Molly joined Hits Radio Breakfast to chat about their journey on the show, where Tyler admitted he actually bought the ring just four months into their romance.
Tyler, who proposed to Molly in August this year, not long after filming ended, confessed he actually bought a ring just four months into their relationship, knowing Molly was the one.
Admitting he did want to do it earlier than he did, Tyler said: “I actually bought the ring like four months into our relationship, when you know you know. So that was time ago, so then I was actually planning to do it like earlier in the year and then all of a sudden Race Across the World came up and I was like, ok, I can’t do it there.
“But what was funny on the show, like I don’t know if we’re going to see it, but Molly kept like fake proposing to me in certain like romantic locations.”
Laughing, Molly explained: “So, this beautiful area of the world, and I’m going, ‘Oh, wait’, little did I know he’s got the ring.”
Revealing he didn’t have the ring with him, Tyler joked: “Obviously not. I could have pawned it, mate. I mean, I could have got some of our budget back, to be fair.”
As fans of the show will know, Molly and Tyler had some deep chats in episode two about their experience of being mixed race.
Whilst travelling to the second checkpoint in El Salvador, the pair opened up, and according to Tyler, there’s more to come.
He said: “I think it was really special for us to have that convo, like in Belize, obviously it’s like a Caribbean country, but it was, I think it’s like if anybody’s watching the show, loads of families watch the show, right?
“And it is like so iconic, but if there’s a kid out there that’s like sort of feeling the same way, they can look at us and go, oh, hey, like they get it too, I can relate to that.
“And I think that’s a really sort of special moment to have throughout, the carnage that is on, because I mean it jumps from that to us just like, being petrified of a bed bug.”

In April 2023, Tyler took part in an epic 24-hour KISSTORY Rave as he danced and DJed for 24 hours straight in order to raise funds for the charity Cash For Kids. Along with Tyler’s mum and brother, Molly sweetly surprised Tyler as he took on his challenge, with the pair sharing a hug and enjoying a dance together.

In January 2024, Tyler confirmed the lovely news that him and Molly had taken a big step in their relationship by moving in together! Speaking to the Daily Mail, Tyler said: “We are good and going strong and are actually moving in together – we’re just going through, you know dining tables and sofas and all that kind of stuff, it’s exciting.
“Molly’s turned into a whole interior designer so I’m just taking a complete back seat!”

September 2025: Tyler and Molly sign up for Celebrity Race Across The World
On 18th September, Molly joined Tyler on his KISS radio show to reveal the pair will be taking part in the third series of Celebrity Race Across The World. The third series started on Thursday 6th November and airs every Thursday night on BBC One.
