Bills’ Josh Allen injured on huge hit from Will Anderson Jr. against Texans

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was down and in pain in the first quarter against the Houston Texans on Thursday. His injury doesn’t appear to have burned the Bills.

On third-and-6 with 3:13 remaining, Allen stepped up in the pocket and cocked his arm back to throw near the line of scrimmage when he was walloped by Houston Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr. from behind.

Allen face-planted to the ground, kicked his legs while on his stomach and then rolled onto his back still kicking his leg in pain and holding his hands together.

Team trainers appeared to be checking Allen’s hand on the field. The quarterback walked to the sideline and took a seat on the bench without any medical staff around him. He put his helmet on, warmed up on the sideline and returned for the Bills’ next series without missing an offensive snap.

Amazon Prime sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung said Allen had his left elbow taped up for what appeared to be turf burn and briefly spoke with coaches and trainers.
