BO7 Nuketown 2025 release date and launch time

When does the BO7 Nuketown map launch? Nuketown is one of the all-time classics of CoD history, appearing in various forms across Black Ops games. As longtime fans fully expected, it’s making a stunning return in Black Ops 7. Nuketown 2025 is the latest version of the multiplayer map, following on from its Black Ops 6 iteration, which saw Nuketown incorporated into both Warhead, the multiplayer map, and Area 99, the Warzone map.

Nuketown may have missed the Black Ops 7 release date, but it arrives fashionably late as usual. In Black Ops 7, the multiplayer map has a futuristic feel. Rather than being a clear contrast from the 1950s aesthetic of Nuketown past, Nuketown 2025 seems to depict 2025 as it was imagined from the mid-century. Here’s when you drop into the BO7 Nuketown map.

BO7 Nuketown release time

The BO7 Nuketown 2025 map launches on Thursday, November 20, 2025. We expect the update to drop at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT, based on previous updates.

We recommend keeping an eye on the game from 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm GMT, just in case it drops early. The most prominent update so far has been the launch of the Ashes of the Damned main quest in Zombies mode, which took place at the later time, leading us to believe that’s when all BO7 updates will be pushed.

Nuketown 2025 map details

The layout of the BO7 Nuketown map is the same as ever, with two buildings on either end of the long map and vehicles to use as cover in the middle, including a moving truck and some signs.

There are plenty of locations to get the drop on your enemies in Nuketown, including large bedroom windows in each house. The two side alleys provide plenty of action as well, while the garages give you the option to snipe the opposite house, albeit with minimal cover.

It’s the aesthetic that’s wildly different here, with the mannequins now styled like cyborgs and a more curved, metallic appearance on buildings. Just as Nuketown was never a real town but rather a nuclear test site constructed to look like a town, Nuketown 2025 is a showcase of the future.

In place of the usual Jeep, there’s now a Hydro Car, which the sign says runs on water and seems to be inspired by the classic Ford Thunderbird. The old wooden Nuketown sign has now been replaced by an electronic board embedded with a TV screen. In addition, the RC-XD Shortcut is back. Inaccessible to players, this route can be navigated by the RC-XD Killstreak, allowing you to sneak up on players from one yard to the other.

Make sure you’re ready for the launch of Nuketown 2025 by leveling up your favorite Black Ops 7 weapons. You should also check out our guide to the Black Ops 7 Prestige system to see what you’re working towards as you rank up.
