ICON Creative Studio and Viva Kids have released a trailer for Charlie the Wonderdog, starring Owen Wilson in the titular super pooch role. The animated feature is slated to release in North American theaters and more than 35 countries on January 16, 2026.
In the film, when Danny’s family dog Charlie (Wilson) discovers he has superpowers, he sets out to fulfill his destiny and protect the people he loves.
Charlie the Wonderdog is produced by ICON Creative Studio; it is directed, written, and produced by Shea Wageman, written by Raul Inglis and Steve Ball, production designed by Geoff Taylor, with an original score by Petteri Sainio and original music by Bryan Adams. Jennifer Rogan and Carson Loveday serve as producers; Michael Balfry, Carson Loveday, and Bahar Dehghanian serve as executive producers.
