Social media reacts to the decommitment of quarterback Dayton Raiola

Social media is reacting to news that Nebraska has lost a legacy recruit to the class of 2026. Quarterback Dayton Raiola withdrew his commitment to the Cornhuskers on Wednesday morning.
Raiola is the younger brother of injured starter Dylan Raiola and the nephew of offensive line coach Donnovan Raiola. His father, Dominic Raiola, played for Nebraska from 1997 to 2000, was an All-American center, and won the Rimington Award (2000).
In 11 games this season, he’s thrown for 1,649 yards, 24 touchdowns, and four interceptions for Buford High School. The legacy recruit initially committed to Nebraska in September of 2024 over Appalachian State and Charlotte.
According to the Rivals rankings, the class of 2026 ranks 76th overall and 18th in the Big Ten Conference. The class is led by newly named five-star commit, cornerback Danny Odem.
