Injury Report: Jimmy Butler probable, Jonathan Kuminga out vs. Blazers

After closing out their six-game road swing with a short-handed rotation, the Golden State Warriors appear to be getting some much-needed reinforcements when they return to Chase Center on Friday night to meet the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA Cup.
Star point guard Steph Curry has already been lifted from the injury report while both Jimmy Butler and Buddy Hield are listed as probable for Friday’s contest. In the final game of their road trip, the Warriors were without Curry, Butler, Draymond Green, Al Horford and Jonathan Kuminga.
Although the Warriors are set to get back a solid chunk of their core, Steve Kerr’s rotation will still be without Jonathan Kuminga. Kuminga is set to miss his fifth straight game with bilateral knee tendonitis. Kuminga is averaging 13.8 points on 47.8% shooting from the field with 6.6 rebounds per contest.
While the Warriors will be getting some key pieces, the Trail Blazers will head to San Francisco short-handed. Jrue Holiday (right calf strain) and Shaedon Sharpe (right calf strain) will miss Friday’s game. Scoot Henderson, Damian Lillard and Matisse Thybulle are also listed as out with injuries.
The Warriors will meet the Trail Blazers at 7 p.m. PT on Friday night in San Francisco.
