Lewis Phillips caught up with Jett Lawrence on press day at the AusX Open with Jett very honest about his tougher than expected Paris supercross and doing these pre-season races versus just staying at home in Florida testing:
Jett said he doesn’t let a difficult pre-season race affect him and uses it as a learning opportunity: “You let it go. It’s more of a learning one, so we had to learn some things about the settings and stuff like that with suspension, but like, you don’t look too deep into it.
“Obviously, it’s a pre-season race, so not looking too deep into it, you know. So, we’re just learning more so for what we can take away from there on the bike. Okay, yeah, we got to do this, go do that….I need to get a little better at this, you know, like a little off in this section. So, it’s just more of like an evaluation of what we need to work on before A1 kind of thing. So, it makes it like a checklist, basically, you got to fill out.”
