Samford Women’s Basketball Rolls Past Stillman 90–35

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Samford women’s basketball delivered a dominant performance Friday night at the Pete Hanna Center, powering past Stillman 90–35 to even their record at 3–3 on the season.
Briana Rivera led all scorers with 21 points shooting 7-of-11 from three-point range, helping the Bulldogs knock down 17 threes as a team. Kaylee Yarbrough added 19 points and five rebounds, while Avary Brewer chipped in 14 points off the bench, including three threes.
Samford controlled the game from the opening tip, building a 22–9 lead after the first quarter and stretching it to 44–17 at halftime. The Bulldogs’ defensive fueled the offense, producing 27 points off turnovers and holding Stillman to just 24.5% shooting and 0-for-13 from beyond the arc. Sierra Godbolt dished out seven assists in the Bulldogs win.
Guard Jada Knight made a major impact on the defensive end, recording a career-high five steals, part of Samford’s 17 total takeaways.
Stillman was led by Chayce Matthews, who scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds. Jordan Harris added eight points and five boards for the Tigers.
Samford outrebounded Stillman 52–32 and saw 11 different Bulldogs score.
The Bulldogs return to action next week as they continue their non-conference slate in a Thanksgiving MTE at Georgia State.
