NBA veteran Chris Paul to retire at end of season

Chris Paul will retire at the end of the 2025-26 season.
The veteran guard, currently playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, is in his 21st NBA season.

Selected by the New Orleans Hornets with the fourth overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the 40-year-old Paul has been named to 12 All-Star teams and is a 11-time member of All-NBA teams.
Over 1,364 games played between the Hornets, Clippers, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs, Paul has averaged 16.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 9.2 assists alongside a 46.9 field goal percentage.
The native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina has played in 149 career playoff games.
Paul won the Rookie of the Year award in 2005-06 and was part of the 75 greatest players list.
