Many players ruled out for Notre Dame vs. Syracuse with big omission

Notre Dame football will be without more than a few contributors for senior day this weekend against Syracuse, but one player could see the field once again.
Earlier in the week, coach Marcus Freeman talked about redshirting wide receiver Jaden Greathouse, who has battled injuries all season. The plan was to hold him out of these next two games and play him during the College Football Playoff, which does not affect a player’s eligibility. That’s why it was very interesting to see Greathouse was not on the Irish’s Thursday availability report.
As long as the game isn’t in doubt, which it shouldn’t be given Notre Dame is a heavy favorite, you most likely will not see Greathouse on the field. We also should not see kicker Noah Burnette, defensive tackle Gabriel Rubio and offensive linemen Charlies Jagusah and Billy Schrauth. All continue to work their way back from various injuries.
For the most part, Notre Dame is fairly healthy heading into this weekend, and should continue its march toward another berth in the College Football Playoff.
