AEW Collision – Full Gear “Tailgate Brawl” Pre-Show
Newark, New Jersey, at Prudential Center
Simulcast live November 22, 2025, on TNT and HBO Max
Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness were on commentary. Ring announcer Arkady Aura delivered the introductions while the wrestlers made their entrances for the opening match…
1. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens vs. Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn vs. Big Bill and Bryan Keith vs. “The Outrunners” Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd in a four-way tag match for $200,000. Dalton Castle sat in on commentary and was a cheerleader for the Outrunners. Ace Austin came out with Robinson and Gunn, but he didn’t accompany them to ringside. Big Bill booted Magnum off the apron before a commercial break. [C]
Caster and Bowens set up for Scissor Me Timbers, but Keith cut it off, which led to boos from the crowd. Caster and Bowens were about to do a scissors handshake when Bill broke that up. Robinson rolled up Bowens and pinned him.
Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn defeated Max Caster and Anthony Owens, Big Bill and Bryan Keith, and “The Outrunners” Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd in a four-way tag match in 7:30 to win $200,000.
Powell’s POV: The fake prize money is so ridiculous that it actually lessens my interest in the matches where it’s used. The only thing of note in this match is that they are teasing that Caster and Bowens are getting closer to performing their Acclaimed moves again, and the fans want to see it if this live crowd is any indication.
A Full Gear video package aired… Schiavone hyped that the pay-per-view is available for $39.99 for HBO Max subscribers…
Powell’s POV: I’ve watched the last two AEW pay-per-views on HBO Max and give it a big thumbs up. The picture is great, and I’ve had no streaming issues. My only criticism is that the closed captioning hasn’t worked.
Paul Wight made his entrance and joined the broadcast team… [C]
Samoa Joe delivered a promo while standing in front of a group of men who wore “Opps Dojo” t-shirts and stood with their arms crossed. Joe said he would be walking to the ring with a movement and an army behind him. Joe said Hangman Page would learn what the movement truly encapsulates…
2. “Boom and Doom” Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall (w/The Rizzler, Big Justice) vs. “RPG Vice” Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero. Don Callis sat in on commentary. The heels were in offensive control heading into an early break. [C] Beretta shoved Justice to the floor at ringside. Wight stood up, which sent the heels scurrying back inside the ring, and then he checked on Justice.
AJ took a hot tag, and the live crowd yelled “Boom” whenever he threw a punch or performed an offensive move. Late in the match, Romero hit his running clotheslines on both opponents in opposite corners of the ring. Beretta slid his cast to Romero while he distracted the referee by selling an arm injury.
Big Justice entered the ring. Romero wound up to hit Justice, who kicked Romero and gave him a cutter. Justice went to ringside and high-fived Wight. AJ held up Beretta while Marshall hit him with a Blockbuster from the ropes, which led to the three count…
Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall beat Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero.
Aaron Solo celebrated with the babyfaces… [C]
Powell’s POV: I don’t know how popular The Costco Guys are with AEW fans outside of their home state, but they are popular with their home state fans in New Jersey.
Backstage, Alex Marvez interviewed Don Callis, Josh Alexander, and “The Young Bucks” Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson. Marvez spoke about Callis’s night getting off to a bad start with the RPG Vice loss. Callis downplayed it and said the Bucks would join his family tonight. The Bucks talked about the prize money. Callis said he’d deduct money for the pyro and party favors. Alexander said it’s not about the money, it’s about making Callis’s dream of ending the career of Kenny Omega. After a brief chat about Kazuchika Okada not being there yet, Callis presented the Bucks with a gift box and told them to go try on whatever was inside…
3. Eddie Kingston and Hook vs. “The Workhorsemen” JD Drake and Anthony Henry. Drake and Henry’s entrance was not televised. Kingson put Henry down with a DDT and covered him. Drake tried to break up the pin, but Hook put him in Redrun while Kingston got the three count. Schiavone said Kingston and Hook are 3-0 as a team…
Eddie Kingston and Hook beat “The Workhorsemen” JD Drake and Anthony Henry in 1:50.
Powell’s POV: A quick squash match and nothing more. The trios match is either going to be very brief, or it will carry over to the pay-per-view, just as the main event of the last pre-show did.
A video package spotlighted the AEW Women’s Championship match… [C] Entrances for the pre-show main event were televised…
4. “El Sky Team” Mistico, Mascara Dorada, and Neon (w/Alex Abrahantes) vs. Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, and Hechicero for the CMLL Trios Titles. Okada didn’t come out with his team and wasn’t there to start the match. At ringside, Hechicero wrapped Mistico’s arm in a chair and then wrenched on it. Okada was shown pulling into the parking garage. Okada exited his sports car dressed in his ring gear. The countdown clock showed one minute remaining, but they cut to a Full Gear video to close the pre-show. Ugh.
