Lando Norris is the overwhelming favourite, holding a 24-point lead over McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri with reigning champion Max Verstappen 25 points further back.
He also claimed pole in qualifying to put himself in prime position to extend his lead.
Piastri’s next chance to chase down his teammate comes at Sunday’s Las Vegas Grand Prix, which is at an extremely friendly time for Australian Formula One fans too.
It is lights out and away in the grand prix at 3pm AEDT but you can get ready for the race from 1.30pm, when coverage begins live on Fox Sports Channel 506 and Kayo Sports.
