Mum-of-four wins third big prize in People’s Postcode Lottery, raking in £65k total

Chantelle Riley, a 47-year-old teaching assistant from Castle Bromwich, has experienced remarkable fortune after winning substantial prizes from the People’s Postcode Lottery for the third time. Chantelle, a mother of four, has collectively won £65,000 over her lottery journey, with her latest victory contributing to a shared £1 million prize among 18 residents in the B36 area. Each winner, including Chantelle, will receive £50,000.

This latest success marks Chantelle’s most significant win, following previous awards of £14,221 and £1,078. The announcement came recently when B36 0RX was declared the winning postcode. Notably, one resident triumphed further by tripling their winnings to £150,000 after purchasing three tickets.

Chantelle expressed her disbelief at her winnings, saying, “I can’t believe it. I’m feeling kind of numb. It’s unreal.” She reminisced about her previous wins in the same postcode, indicating her belief in her luck. “I feel very lucky,” she added.

Her good fortune extends beyond her own wins, as she encouraged her partner to join the lottery, resulting in him also receiving £50,000. With plans to purchase the rented home she has lived in for six years, Chantelle is looking forward to enhancing her family life. “I’ve got a granddaughter due on the 10th of December, so she’ll get some nice things for sure,” she mentioned, hinting at her excitement to spoil her grandchild. She also joked about spoiling herself with some designer boots.

The recent lottery results have sparked excitement in Castle Bromwich, with this being the latest major jackpot in the area. Previous wins included £2 million in February 2014 and £3.2 million in July 2022, all benefiting adjacent postcode areas.

Other winners in Auckland Drive included Sandra Grimes, a 59-year-old Farmfoods worker, who was ecstatic upon learning of her £50,000 win. “This is the dream of dreams,” she exclaimed, expressing gratitude for the chance others have to experience such joy. Sandra plans to honor her late husband during her upcoming anniversary dinner, raising a toast to him as she celebrates her unexpected windfall.

Another winner, Conor Lavelle, 30, a devoted Harry Potter fan, is excited to invest his winnings in a tour of the Warner Brothers Studio in London, alongside completing his Harry Potter-themed tattoo sleeve. With aspirations in the theatrical field, he also aims to gain his driving license and buy a new car.

The People’s Postcode Lottery, which costs £12.25 per month to enter, continues to bring joy to participants, ensuring winners are announced daily. As part of its ongoing draws, a considerable prize pot of £38.2 million is set to be won this December, encouraging more residents to sign up before the deadline on November 30.
