India vs South Africa 2nd Test Day 2 Highlights: India see off tricky phase after South Africa post 489

At this point in time, India have their backs against the wall. Each day will only see 80 overs being bowled and South Africa still batting as we head into the final session. Steyn feels that India doesn’t have an answer at the moment to get a wicket and that could become dangerous.

“They have knocked the wind out of India’s sails and they’re looking for that killer punch. I don’t know where it will come from. Who knows? Maybe Marco Jansen goes on to get 100. Muthusamy goes on to get 150, and that first innings lead is one that’s too far where India can breach and get a first innings total lead when they bat.”

“South Africa can just take this game out of reach for India, where it leads into a draw or who knows, even skittle India for something trying to get that score and even record a second win, but right now the way that they’re playing, it just looks like India don’t have an answer in terms of trying to get another wicket and bowl South Africa out,” said Steyn.
