RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) is seeking volunteers to help prevent package theft this holiday shopping season.
WCSO staff say they typically see an increase in package thefts in November and December.
They are now asking for volunteers from unincorporated areas of Washoe County to offer their porches as part of the effort to prevent theft. Selected homes will allow deputies to gather real-time information and identify potential suspects in targeted neighborhoods over the coming weeks.
