Steelers-Bears weather: Sunny skies, chilly start expected for showdown at Soldier Field

Fans attending the Steelers-Bears game at Soldier Field can look forward to a sunny and dry day with afternoon temperatures climbing into the low 50s, according to AccuWeather (1:00 p.m. EST).

Those planning to tailgate, plan for a chilly morning, with temperatures in the low 40s. Winds are expected to blow between 10 and 13 mph and will make it feel colder, with the RealFeel temperature closer to the low 30s under mostly clear to sunny skies.

Temperatures will steadily climb through late morning, just in time for kickoff, reaching a high of 53 degrees by 3 p.m. Sunshine will persist throughout the day as winds shift westward and calm to around 8 mph.

Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game after suffering a broken bone in his left wrist. Backup Mason Rudolph will start if Rodgers is unable to play.

The Steelers are dealing with several other injury concerns heading into Sunday’s matchup. Linebacker Alex Highsmith is listed as doubtful with a pectoral injury that kept him out last week, though he remains optimistic about returning soon.

Cornerback Darius Slay is questionable with a concussion, while defensive tackle Cameron Heyward is questionable with an ankle injury.

The Steelers announced that cornerback Cory Trice Jr. will remain on the Reserve/Injured List for the remainder of the season after sustaining a knee injury. This marks the third consecutive year Trice has finished the season on the injury list.

The Bears will also be short-handed Sunday, missing linebackers Tremaine Edmunds (groin) and T.J. Edwards (hand/hamstring), along with running backs Travis Homer (hamstring/knee) and Roschon Johnson (thumb).
