Steelers legend gives health update after unexpected absence from FOX NFL Sunday

Pittsburgh Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw gave a positive update on his health after unexpectedly missing FOX NFL Sunday a week ago.

Bradshaw says the illness that forced him to miss the show was just a cold, and he is already back out in public making appearances.

“Just in case you notice, won’t be on Fox today,” Bradshaw said on Instagram. “Just have a cold. All good.”

Bradshaw, 77, is a fixture on FOX NFL Sunday, but his absence from the Week 11 coverage rose some alarms.

Curt Menefee, the host of the show, noted Bradshaw’s absence and continued the show alongside Michael Strahan and Howie Long.

“You may notice there is Howie Long [and] Michael Strahan [and that] Terry Bradshaw is not with us,” Menefee said. “He came to work sick this morning. So he decided to go home not feeling well. We send him our love.”

Bradshaw showed up but was sick and decided to go home before the broadcast began. He is expected to return this week to programming.

Bradshaw has dealt with health struggles in the past, including a bout with bladder cancer in 2021 and Merkel cell skin cancer in 2022.

He has been a fixture on the show since its inception. This is his 32nd straight season on the broadcast.
