It’s almost time for one of the biggest weekends in the Strictly calendar…. Blackpool week!
The contestants are busy in rehearsals for their performances, which will be shown live from Tower Ballroom, but one star has been forced to drop out.
Sharing a statement, the celeb said they’re ‘devastated not to be joining the rest of the cast’ but that they’ve been advised not to perform.

Drag Race star La Voix, who is partnered up with professional dancer Aljaž Škorjanec, confirmed they wouldn’t be taking part in Blackpool week on Tuesday.
‘As many of you know, I injured my foot last week. With the help of an incredible team—and a whole lot of sparkles and determination—I was able to keep going and perform. As the old saying goes, the show must go on, and believe me, I pushed myself to make sure it did,’ La Voix wrote.

La Voix continued: ‘However, after my appearance on Saturday night, it became clear that the injury wasn’t improving. I’ve now been advised by medical professionals to rest properly, which means I won’t be able to perform in Blackpool this week.
‘It breaks my heart, because performing for all of you means the world to me, but I have to listen to my body so I can come back stronger (and with both heels working!).
‘Thank you for your love, your messages, and your endless support. I promise I’ll be cheering everyone on from the sidelines, and I’ll be back on that stage as soon as I’m able—louder, brighter, and sassier than ever.’
La Voix and Aljaž have been impressing the judges – and outgoing hosts – on Strictly and last week scored 33 out of 40 for their couple’s choice routine to Don’t Rain On My Parade by Barbra Streisand.

A Strictly spokesperson also shared a statement about La Voix having to miss Blackpool week, saying: ‘Due to injury, La Voix has been advised by doctors to rest and, as a result, will not dance in this weekend’s Blackpool specials.
‘In line with the rules of Strictly Come Dancing, La Voix and Aljaž will receive a bye through to next week when it is hoped they will be able to dance again. We wish La Voix the very best for a speedy recovery.’
