This Year, Miley Cyrus Entered Her Fashion Prime

Happy birthday, Miley Cyrus!
Between releasing her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, and becoming the new face of Maison Margiela and Maybelline, the singer has had quite an eventful year. She has also, we’d argue, entered her fashion prime—serving up some of the greatest red carpet moments of her career so far.
Since getting her start in Hollywood as the teenage star of Hannah Montana, Cyrus has embraced all kinds of style signatures, variously experimenting with a country-western aesthetic (cue “The Climb”) and getting a little rebellious during her Bangerz period. But in 2025, Cyrus has embodied her sleekest and most avant-garde era yet, zeroing in on classic, all-black designs with interesting silhouettes and textures (with invaluable help from her go-to stylist, Bradley Kenneth).

Some of her best fashion moments of the year? At the 2025 Golden Globes, Cyrus hit the red carpet in a classically glamorous Celine dress with a crystal trim and low-slung, open back. A few months later, for the Oscars, Cyrus went with a beaded black Alexander McQueen gown with a high neckline, complete with lace gloves and bleached eyebrows.
More recently, as Cyrus began to promote her visual album Something Beautiful, the star had fun reviving archival looks: She went through a major vintage Mugler phase, for one, plucking boxy leather coats and sheer catsuits from the late 1990s. But she’s had memorable moments in custom looks, too. At the 2025 Met Gala, Cyrus turned heads in a black Alaïa creation from Pieter Mulier, including a cropped leather bolero and full ballgown skirt. She also went full moto in Saint Laurent while sitting front row at Vogue World: Hollywood in October.
It’s safe to say that 2025 was Cyrus’s fashion-It-girl year—but given her wardrobe only seems to level up as time goes on, expect more style hits in 2026.
