Quinshon Judkins Injury Update: What Happened to the Browns RB, and What’s the Latest on His Status?

It seemed like the start of a new beginning for the Cleveland Browns. After finally giving the reins of the offense to Shedeur Sanders, the returns in his first career start saw a lot of positives for them. With other young stars like Quinshon Judkins and Harold Fannin Jr. on the roster, the future looked bright for the first time in a long while for Cleveland.
Unfortunately, the goodwill could only last so long. Midway through the third quarter, as they were dominating the Las Vegas Raiders, they suffered a massive injury to one of their biggest bright spots throughout the 2025 campaign, their rookie running back.

What Happened to Quinshon Judkins?
As the scoreboard read 14-3, the Browns were trying to make the most of the opportunity to get some valuable in-game reps in for most of their rookies. That meant a bigger workload for Judkins, who had been wildly impressive since taking over the starting job.
However, in the third quarter, he went down on the ground after a physical run, and it was immediately clear that something had gone terribly wrong. As he was immediately taken into the medical tent, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN provided the update.
After confirming, “Browns rookie RB Quinshon Judkins is down after a physical run,” he followed it up with, “Judkins is helped up and walks off the field under his own power. He’s heading into the medical tent. Dylan Sampson is in at RB.”
Oyefusi provided another update on Judkins, which was more concerning. “Judkins headed back onto the field and then was taken out again. A ref stopped the game, and Judkins is going back into the medical tent. I believe a unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant also went into the tent.”
Ranked 25th on PFSN’s RB Impact, the rookie was up to 37 rushing yards on 11 carries in the game. However, his real impact came in the end zone, where he added two more touchdowns to his season tally of 620 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
Despite the second check, it seemed like things were fine for the youngster, as he found himself back on the sidelines with a helmet in his hand, before going back into the game in the fourth quarter.
Fantasy Impact of Judkins’ Injury
Quinshon Judkins has been a nice value pick this year, thanks to his uncertain status entering the season and the volume he’s assumed from the jump. That said, the limitations of this offense cap his upside.
This is one of those situations where the player makes the role valuable, not the other way around. If Judkins is cleared, you can play him as your normally would The Browns went with him in Wild Cat goal line situations twice against the Raiders and he paid them off.
Should he sit, there isn’t a player that would assume enough work to grade as a viable fantasy option.
