Hall Of Famer Backs Chris Jericho To Join WWE’s Creative Team

A WWE Hall of Famer has shared their belief that Y2J Chris Jericho should join WWE as a higher-up in their creative department.
Speaking about Chris Jericho’s future on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry addressed the rumours that Jericho could be leaving AEW and heading to WWE in the near future, and said that he thinks Jericho should return to WWE, and that he should have a spot high up in the company’s creative department. Henry said:
“Chris Jericho should be a high up at WWE creative.”
Henry explained his reasoning and said that because Jericho has managed to stay relevant and in the main event picture for over 20 years due to his having the ability to reinvent his character numerous times over the years, he is a perfect fit for the writers’ room. Henry stated:
“He’s probably the most versatile and innovative guy that has wrestled in the last 20 years. He’s recreated himself so many times and made so much money that’s it’s ridiculous. People respect him and they value his opinion.”
Henry also said that Jericho wouldn’t be afraid to question creative decisions and that he would break down ideas and would be a valuable addition to the creative team, no matter what salary he’d want to do so.
“Chris could walk right into the WWE writers room and fit right in because he’s not a tyrant. He’s gonna ask you the question, ‘Well, why would he do that? I think that I can do this and still get away with this.’ Chris will dissect stuff and make stuff great. If you can get Chris in the office, do it in a heartbeat. Pay the man whatever you want, he’s going to elevate the talent.”
When Was Chris Jericho Last Seen In AEW?
Chris Jericho was last seen in AEW on the April 9 episode of Dynamite, where he disbanded his Learning Tree faction after he lost his Title vs. Mask match at Dynasty on April 6 to Bandido.
Jericho told Big Bill and Bryan Keith on Dynamite that he will be leaving for a while until they make a change.
