WISE COUNTY, Va. (WVVA) – Union High School head football coach Travis L. Turner has not been found after Virginia State Police agents went to his Appalachia residence Thursday evening as part of an ongoing investigation, according to NBC Affiliate WCYB.
Police said agents were sent to the 46-year-old Turner’s home, but “NOT” to arrest him. While on the way, agents were informed that Turner was no longer at the home.
As of Friday afternoon, Turner remains missing. The investigation is ongoing.
Wise County Schools placed a staff member on administrative leave with pay today while an external agency reviews an allegation.

School officials declined to identify the staff member. Superintendent Mike Goforth did not respond to multiple messages, and school board members also declined to comment.
