OHL’s Bulldogs acquire Flyers prospect Luchanko from Storm

The Brantford Bulldogs have acquired Philadelphia Flyers prospect Jett Luchanko from the Guelph Storm on Monday.
Guelph receives forward Layne Gallacher and four draft picks in the transaction, including second-round picks in 2027 and 2028 as well as third- and fifth-round picks in 2029.
Luchanko, who was drafted 13th by Philadelphia in 2024, had two goals and 17 points in 11 games with Guelph this season. He was named co-captain of the Storm alongside Charlie Paquette on Oct. 30.
“We are incredibly excited to acquire Jett Luchanko,” said Brantford Bulldogs general manager Spencer Hyman in a statement. “Jett brings elite speed, is outstanding in the dots, and is an exceptional playmaker.
“He is a player who immediately makes our hockey club better. He has been a priority target for us from day one, and we could not be more thrilled to officially welcome Jett Luchanko and his family to the Brantford Bulldogs.”
Brantford is first in the OHL standings with 41 points and a 18-0-5 record.
The 19-year-old has started the past two seasons in the NHL, skating in four games both years with the Flyers before being returned to the OHL.
The London, Ont., native represented Canada last year at the World Juniors in Ottawa, scoring one goal in five games as Canada finished fifth.
