Danny Dyer has started a new tely war by picking a fight with ITV host Joel Dommett. The EastEnders legend rinsed the comedian at a posh bash for not being funny
He was presenting the ZYN Rolling Stone UK Awards at London’s Roundhouse, when he introduced Mo Gilligan to the stage. Complimenting his comic pal, he said: “I mean, he’s funnier than Joel Dommett, I’ll tell you that now.”
Danny and Joel appeared on The One Show together in 2023, and Dyer has attended the National Television Awards which Joel presents.
Mo – who did not respond to the jibe – is a judge on The Masked Singer, which Joel presents. Joel is currently in Australia hosting I’m A Celebrity? Unmasked.
Danny has had a string of feuds over the years. The actor had a spat with reality star Mark Wright at a music festival and has previously slated I’m A Celebrity star Kelly Brook. Another time he publicly clashed with Lord Sugar.

When the Apprentice boss criticised an EastEnders plot, Danny replied: “I do wish you’d pipe down my lord. You’re very rich but you have the looks wit and charm of a slightly comatosed tramp….”
In another rant he slammed film reviewer Mark Kermode, saying: “He’s such a pr*ck. He’s just a got a bit of a problem with me, and what it is I really don’t know.
“But our paths will meet, one day, and there won’t be no talking. It’ll probably just be a headbutt straight to the f**king nose, and then he can go off and do his impressions with a broken nose that’d be good, wouldn’t it?”
