Danny Dyer Rips Into Joel Dommett at Awards Ceremony

During a recent awards ceremony in London, Danny Dyer stirred the pot by taking a jab at ITV host Joel Dommett while presenting the ZYN Rolling Stone UK Awards. The EastEnders actor introduced fellow comedian Mo Gilligan to the stage, remarking, “I mean, he’s funnier than Joel Dommett, I’ll tell you that now.” This comment comes after a previous appearance by Dyer and Dommett on The One Show earlier this year, as well as Dyer’s attendance at the National Television Awards, which Dommett presents.
While Dyer’s quip was bold, it appeared to be met with silence from Gilligan, who chose not to respond to the playful rivalry. Interestingly, both comedians find themselves amidst their own projects, with Dommett currently in Australia hosting the show’s “I’m A Celebrity? Unmasked,” while Gilligan serves as a judge on the popular program The Masked Singer.
Dyer is no stranger to feuds and has a history of clashes with various personalities. His past altercations include a public spat with reality star Mark Wright at a music festival, as well as sharp criticisms aimed at I’m A Celebrity star Kelly Brook. In a notable exchange, he confronted Lord Sugar after the Apprentice boss critiqued an EastEnders storyline, stating, “I do wish you’d pipe down my lord. You’re very rich but you have the looks, wit, and charm of a slightly comatosed tramp…”
In a separate encounter, Dyer expressed his disdain for film reviewer Mark Kermode, branding him a “pr*ck” and implying that their paths would eventually cross in a more confrontational manner, suggesting, “It’ll probably just be a headbutt straight to the f**king nose.”
