Team Gushue goes into day three of the Olympic Curling Trials in Halifax undefeated after wins Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
Yesterday’s match was a tough one against Kevin Koe, but the NL rink was curling at 98 per cent while Koe was at 94. Gushue curled at 100 per cent in five of the ten ends.
Gushue led 4-3 in the 10th with last rock, so Koe had to steal to force an extra end. The final score was 5-3.
The Olympic gold and bronze medalists play at 9:30 NST this morning against John Epping, and again in the last draw of the night against the Dunstone rink, who are ranked number one in Canada.
