Thunder’s SGA named NBA Player of the Week

OKLAHOMA CITY –
Oklahoma City’s reigning Finals MVP is continuing to stack on the accolades for the 2025-2026 season.
On Monday, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the NBA Player of the Week for the Western Conference for Week 5.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell was the Eastern Conference winner.
The Thunder went 4-0 last week, with wins over the Hornets, Pelicans, Kings and Jazz. Over those four games, the reigning MVP averaged 31 PPG and 6.5 APG while shooting 60% from the field.
This is SGA’s second time this season being named WCF Player of the Week. In Week 2, he and Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey earned the honors.
