Brock Purdy’s wife Jenna Brandt was star athlete before quickly marrying 49ers QB

Brock Purdy, the San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback, has been juggling his professional life with his personal one. Off the field, he’s taken on a new role as a husband to Jenna Brandt, his longtime partner and a former volleyball star.

The couple tied the knot on March 9, 2024, in their home state of Iowa. This came after Purdy, who had been battling a tough injury throughout the season, proposed in July 2023.

He shared the happy news on Instagram, revealing that Brandt had said yes “a million times” and describing life with her as “easy.”

Fast forward less than eight months, and they were saying their vows surrounded by loved ones, including former college teammates and friends.

In July 2025, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Millie Joleen.

Brandt is no stranger to the spotlight herself. The Iowa native was a standout setter at Iowa State before transferring to Northern Iowa.

There, she played a key role in the Panthers’ offense and earned all-tournament recognition at events like the Marquette Invitational.

Her experience in high-level college athletics gave her an insight into the demands of Purdy’s job, something they’ve both mentioned when discussing how they support each other’s careers.

In 2022, Brandt concluded her collegiate volleyball career. She described wearing the UNI jersey as “a dream come true” and expressed gratitude to the program for providing her with a “life-changing experience.”

Purdy and Brandt first crossed paths at Iowa State, where he was working his way up the quarterback depth chart while she was orchestrating plays on the volleyball court. Their bond endured throughout his remarkable journey from “Mr. Irrelevant” – the last selection in the 2022 NFL Draft – to becoming the 49ers’ surprising long-term solution under center.

Brandt became a familiar face at 49ers contests during his spectacular rookie campaign that culminated in an NFC Championship Game appearance in 2022 and a Super Bowl run the subsequent season.

Currently, as recently married partners and first-time parents, they’re managing increased scrutiny while the 49ers battle through a significantly more challenging 2025 season. San Francisco stands at 7-4 and occupies third place in a competitive NFC West, trailing the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks, with each contest carrying crucial postseason ramifications.

Purdy’s performance this year has been more unpredictable compared to his initial storybook run. Following his record-breaking franchise achievements and top-tier efficiency rankings in 2023, his 2025 season has faced disruption due to injuries.

He sustained a turf-toe variation and shoulder problem during the early weeks, missed several contests, and head coach Kyle Shanahan subsequently acknowledged the toe issue “probably won’t fully go away all year.”

Purdy resumed his starting role in Week 11, guiding the 49ers to a commanding 41–22 victory against the Arizona Cardinals.
