Ice-T Says Reduced Law & Order: SVU Role Wasn’t His Choice

Ice-T is chilling with Law & Order: SVU‘s latest decision.
Indeed, after Kelli Giddish returned to the precinct as Amanda Rollins full-time for season 27, Ice-T closed the case on why fans have seen less of Sergeant Fin Tutuola.
“It’s just basically business,” he told TMZ in an interview published Nov. 24. “They brought Kelli back and at the end of the day, they couldn’t keep both of us on full-time, as far as budget-wise. They said, ‘Ice, we’ll have you come in and out this year.'”
“Everybody wanted Kelli back,” he continued. “We’ve got new cops. I am not leaving the show. I am more concerned with going to Season 28. This year, they said, ‘Ice, we’re going to work you a little less.’ Everything was cool with me. I understood.”
But that doesn’t mean the 67-year-old—who, after joining in season two, is the longest-tenured cast member behind star Mariska Hargitay—wasn’t a little concerned about the move.
