Ant and Dec reveal answer to Shona mystery baffling I’m a Celebrity viewers

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Ant and Dec have revealed the answer to a mystery that has been baffling viewers. During Monday’s episode, EastEnders star Shona McGarty and Alex Scott got into trouble after it was revealed that they had smuggled some contraband into the camp.
After Alex was busted for sneaking some salt into camp, Shona came clean, admitting that she had also broken the rules by smuggling in a large bottle of air freshener to spray in the camp’s dunny.
Following the reveal, fans took to X to question where Shona could’ve hidden such a large item, with one fan writing: “How did she manage to smuggle an entire can of air freshener into camp? Makes no sense.”
Another fan asked: “How… how did Shona manage to smuggle an entire air freshener into camp.”
“I was expecting Shona to show that she might have snuck in a packet of biscuits or something but she actually bought in an air freshener,” penned another.

One fan quipped: “No wonder Shona didn’t mind having the dunnies for her chores, she’s been spraying up in there.”
Appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked, Ant and Dec told Joel Dommett and Kemi Rodgers, who host the companion show, where Shona got the contraband from.
“I actually know where she got it,” Dec said, adding: “She nicked it from the trial.”
Quizzed by Kemi how she managed to get away with it and where on earth she could’ve hidden such a large item, Ant said: “Don’t know. Don’t know, Kemi.”

“We think, but we don’t know for sure. We think she nicked it from the Bushtucker Trial,” Dec added.
Later, Joel quizzed the hosts on what they would sneak into camp if they had to choose an item of contraband. Ant said: “Do you know what would be really good if you could get it in there? Soy sauce. ‘Cause it’s salty, like salt, and has a really good flavour.”
Meanwhile, Dec said he would attempt to smuggle in a bottle of sriracha hot sauce, admitting that he puts it on everything.
I’m a Celebrity… airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
