Penn State vs Boston University Preview: Lions Back Home

The last time we saw the Nittany Lions, they played a competitive game with Providence for about 30 minutes, then, after coming back from a 12-point deficit to make it a three point game, a pair of threes by the Friars opened it back up, and that was all she wrote.
Now, the Lions look to get back on the winning ways against a Boston University team that should pose little threat. Though, as will be the case for the majority of Penn State’s season, BU has plenty of experience on their roster, with only two players with freshman eligibility on their entire roster. Though one of those, Chance Gladden, takes the bulk of the Terriers’ minutes at guard.
Outside of the aforementioned Gladden, big man Ben Defty, Azmar Abdullah, a name I had to do a double-take on, Sam Hughes, and Michael McNair share the majority of the load.
Honestly, not much. The Terriers are 253rd in Kenpom, got worked by Northwestern a few weeks ago, and are already 13-point underdogs in this contest. The most interesting part of the game may be whether the Lions can handle Defty’s height, as he’s 7-feet tall.
Penn State has a bunch of these games in the non-conference for a reason. Penn State 77, Boston University 55
