Elaine Hendrix Breaks Down Her ‘Married Couple’ Bond With Lisa Ann Walter

Elaine Hendrix has never married, and she’s opened up about being single.
However, she has forged a close and meaningful friendship with Lisa Ann Walter, who referred to Hendrix as her “life partner,” according to People. They were co-stars in the movie, Parent Trap. And they reenacted a scene from the movie in a Dancing With the Stars routine.
Hendrix is a finalist on DWTS — the finale airs Tuesday, November 25.
Hendrix spoke about Walter to Extra last month. “Lisa and I have been together for many, many, many years. We have been together through ups and downs. We are there through each other, through thick and thin. We like to joke that we are a married couple without the romance,” she said.
Walter opened up about her enduring friendship with Hendrix in a 2023 interview with People.
“People always talk about, ‘Oh, you make time for your friends and you have to make it important.’ It was never a chore. It was never something that I had to schedule,” Walter said in that interview.
According to People, the “pair has navigated career highs and lows, the additions of new family members (both human and animal) and busy schedules to prioritize each other.”
Walter hosted the show unFamiliar, revealing she discovered their ancestors knew each other, describing that as “fate.”
“I have to call my life partner, Elaine, and tell her that this thing happened or I’ve got this audition coming or I’m sobbing because some jabroni broke my heart,” Walter said to People. “She just was the person that I called. Everybody has a person they check in with about everything in their life. And Elaine is it for me.”
More recently, Walter expanded on their friendship.
“It’s what we always say, ‘Jobs come and go, partners come and go, but this is forever,’” Walter told E! News of Hendrix in October. “A bestie, that’s the person that you call and is your go-to. We never have to worry about that going away. It is completely safe, secure, dependable and reliable. And if you don’t have that person in your life, get you one.”
“We are there for each other,” Hendrix told that site. “Lisa likes to joke that, ‘A friend will help you move, a best friend will help you move a body. And she knows where all the bodies are.”
