Why Wasn’t Braxton Berrios At The ‘DWTS’ Finale?

So… why wasn’t Braxton Berrios at the DWTS finale? While social media star Alix Earle slayed the finale of Dancing With The Stars, some noticed that her boyfriend, NFL player Braxton Berrios, wasn’t in attendance. In fact, the Houston Texans’ wide receiver has been missing from every show this season — leading fans to wonder, what gives?
DWTS fans have taken to the internet to share just how odd it is that Berrios hasn’t been to a performance of Alix this season. One user on X wrote “Zac Efron could make time to support his brother on #dwts but Braxton Berrios couldn’t make it to one taping for Alix? (who nailed her first dance btw).” People are even heading to Berrios’ most recent Instagram post on Oct. 30 to talk about Alix on DWTS. “Can you please surprise your girl in the finale? Like just fly back that night 😢”
In addition to fans noticing Berrios is missing from the ballroom seats, there are rumors that the pair have broken up. A TikTok user believes the pair privately broke up writing in a post on the screen, “Not to get super parasocial and weird but I’m convinced Alix and Berrios have broken up and mutually agreed to wait to officially announce it til after DWTS and the last pic in her dump was a cheeky way of hinting at it that’ll she’ll mention in the GRWM where she announces it in a month.” Some commenters were quick to push back against this idea, while others agreed with the poster.
The couple soon cleared rumors when Earle and his best friends surprised Berrios for his 30th birthday. “The whole internet starting break up rumors, while Alix was planning a whole surprise for Braxton,” a user commented on Alix’s TikTok post of the surprise.
So, where was Berrios at the DWTS finale?
Honestly, Berrios’s busy football schedule probably makes it difficult for the wide receiver to show his support in person at the live shows, which Earle understands — “He’s stuck in the football world right now, so unfortunately he won’t be able to come,” she said after the cast reveal in September.
However, on finale night, Berrios put any comments on his absence to bed when he posted on his Instagram story with a reel of Alix’s journey. “Finale tonight!! So proud of you and the way you’ve worked for this the last 3 months. Go have fun and bring that Mirrorball Trophy home! ♥️💃 @alix_earle,” he wrote. “I need everyone to text ‘ALIX’ to ‘21523’ 10x starting at 8 pm ET.”
After one of her performances that night, he posted to his story, “DID YOU SEE THAT!!!,” showing he’s cheering her on alongside everyone at home.
