Report: Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard set to return Sunday against Cavaliers

Forward Kawhi Leonard will return to the lineup against the Cleveland Cavaliers after being sidelined by a foot injury, NBA insider Chris Haynes reported on Saturday.

Leonard, 34, was limited to just six games this season before going down with an ankle and foot sprains against the Miami Heat on Nov. 3.

He’s missed 10 games since, with an 11th set to come Saturday when the Clippers take on the Charlotte Hornets.

Los Angeles has struggled without its superstar, losing three straight to fall to 4-11 while sitting 13th in the Western Conference.

Despite an off-season filled with allegations of salary-cap circumvention, Leonard has performed to his career norms when he’s taken to the court, averaging 24.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest.
