A new look at Bridgerton season 4 has revealed a glimpse at Benedict’s love interest, Sophie Baek, dressed in maid garb as the new episodes fast approach. Bridgerton season 4 will focus on Benedict, pulling from the pages of An Offer from a Gentleman by Julia Quinn. It features the love story between him and Sophie that slowly blossoms.
Now, Netflix has released a short video showing Sophie dressed in maid garb, standing between two large vases filled with roses. The video teases her importance to the upcoming episodes, but doesn’t give away how her and Benedict’s tale will unfold. It also reiterates the upcoming release dates for season 4’s two parts. Yerin Ha is joining the cast of Bridgerton for season 4, portraying Benedict’s love interest across the eight-episode season. Similar to the book, the pair are fated to meet at a masquerade ball, where Sophie is dressed as the Lady in Silver. Her presence captivates the season’s protagonist, who tries to discover her true identity following their connection.
When Sophie does reappear in her maid garb, Benedict doesn’t recognize her as the woman from the masquerade. This leads into the central conflict of the plot, as his love quest is, unbeknownst to him, staring him in the face. Seeing her in her maid garb emphasizes just how important this alternate role will be for her in season 4’s story.
