Luka Doncic’s insane heater in Lakers-Clippers has fans going crazy

Former NBA scoring champion Luka Doncic did not shoot very well from behind the arc in the previous two Los Angeles Lakers games, both against the Utah Jazz. In those games, the Slovenian was a combined 5-for-22 from deep, though he still had a total of 70 points.
In other words, Doncic was bound to light it up at a more efficient clip, which he seemingly did early in Tuesday night’s game versus the Los Angeles Clippers at Crypto.com Arena in LA. In the first quarter alone, Doncich not one, not two, not three, not four, but five of his eight attempts from the 3-point region, while finishing the period with 24 points on a total of 9-for-14 shooting from the field.
A player like Doncic can easily drop a bunch of points in a short span, especially when he gets himself in the zone. The Clippers are also one of the worst in the league against 3-point shooters, just based on the fact that they entered the Lakers game just 27th in the NBA overall, with 14.9 3-pointers surrendered per contest on a 38.6 percent success rate.
Doncic has truly taken over the lead role on offense for the Lakers, even with LeBron James returning from a back injury. He started the day with averages of 34.5 points per game to lead everyone in the league, while dishing out 8.9 assists and grabbing 8.8 rebounds.
However, despite Doncic shooting the lights out and scoring 32 points in the first half, the Lakers were just ahead by three points, 69-66, at halftime versus Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers.
