Rosario Dawson Teases a More Light-Hearted Ahsoka in Season 2

Rosario Dawson has spoken more about Ahsoka’s journey in Ahsoka Season 2. More quotes are coming out of Comic-Con Scotland and Dawson is teasing that Ahsoka will be more relaxed and light-hearted next season.

Via Sci-Fi & Fantasy Gazette, Dawson spoke a bit about Ahsoka’s demeanor in Season 2 compared to the last one.

“She had a more of a strong gravitas at the beginning, and she was a little bit more unflappable. And I’m liking that she’s relaxing, she’s kind of getting back into her joy. I think those moments with Hayden [Christensen] and Anakin were so important for her to heal something so she could be more present.

“And that’s what I’m really enjoying. I think we get to explore that a lot more in the second season. I’m really glad that we get to add more joy into her life and see her relax a little bit more and work in community a little bit more than she has.”

Presumably this more relaxed demeanor has something to do with her renewed relationship as Sabine Wren’s master and being able to rescue Ezra Bridger last season. Reports that Hayden Christensen is reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker in Season 2 might also contribute to this development, as being able to talk with her old master should help give her some more closure after their clash in the World Between Worlds.

This is in addition to Mary-Elizabeth Winstead’s comments last month that she will be appearing a lot more in Season 2, despite the show’s eponymous character being stuck in another galaxy. They surely won’t be reuniting until the end of the season, but Dave Filoni is committed to covering what’s going on with Thrawn and the New Republic in the known galaxy simultaneously. It has also been reported that we’ll be getting a naval space battle between Admiral Ackbar and Grand Admiral Thrawn at some point in the season.

Ahsoka Season 2 will be coming to Disney Plus at some point next year, possibly after The Mandalorian and Grogu releases in theatres as the season only recently wrapped production. Hopefully we’ll get our first trailer early next year.
