Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts have been absolutely thrilled by Dianne Buswell’s latest pregnancy announcement, as she proudly displayed her growing baby bump.

The current champion, who claimed the Glitterball trophy alongside Chris McCausland last year, shared a charming video on Instagram.

Dianne, who had to pull out of this year’s Strictly after her celebrity partner Stefan Dennis sustained an injury, made history as the first professional dancer to participate in the programme whilst expecting.

She’s been keeping fans informed throughout her pregnancy journey, following her announcement that she and YouTuber Joe Sugg – whom she met on Strictly in 2018 – are expecting their first child together.

Copying the audio from a popular TikTok trend, Dianne sported sunglasses in her recent post and spun around to reveal her bump, accompanied by the phrase “Nobody is going to know”, reports Wales Online.

“As they say I have popped,” she wrote, and captioned the post: “Getting dressed for rehearsals is getting a little harder these days.”

Fellow professional Lauren Oakley responded: “Baby’s like ‘I’m heeeere!!!'”, whilst Ashley Roberts chimed in: “Aww so cute though.”

One admirer commented: “Your baby boy has just realised he is on ‘Strictly Every Saturday Night… and he is saying’ Hi everyone.. I am here with his little jazz hands waving. Looking Stunning Dianne.” Another fan gushed: “Ahh you look beautiful!!! Still so surreal!!”

“So beautiful. He’s getting biggg!!!!” a third wrote, while someone else said: “So lovely , makes it all so real once the bump starts showing and you can feel him moving.”

Earlier this series, Dianne was forced to shut down any rumours about her time on Strictly, insisting she was still able to dance while pregnant.

She clarified: “I’m still doing everything I did before. Obviously with lifts there’s going to be a bit more caution. But my doctor has said everything is normal.

“He said, basically, if you’ve done it before, in terms of being a dancer and you’ve done this, done that, then crack on and keep doing what you’re doing.”

She later shared on It Takes Two: “This is my ninth year on Strictly, and honestly, it always still feels like the first year. Everyone’s like, “When are you going to leave?” I’m like, “No! How many more years can I do? That’s the question!”‘

Dianne and Joe previously confirmed they were expecting a baby boy, and that they’d already picked out a “unique” name.

In a video on their YouTube channel, Joe said: “The name that we’ve come up with, we’re not going to share it. We can’t really give any clues to it other than I don’t really see this name really anywhere.

“I know some people who have it as their surname but it’s also the sort of name that can be shortened. I’d say it’s quite a unique name.”

Dianne chimed in with: “It’s kind of like Joe, isn’t it? Cute when you’re little, you can call yourself Joseph when you’re older.”

Joe continued: “Or it could be a good sportsperson name. I’ve purposefully not said it out loud at all, whereas Dianne keeps calling him by that name.

“I do feel like between now and our due date, which is another thing I don’t think we’re going to share, I worry that we might end up revealing it by accident. From now on, he’s called Derek.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.35pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
