December’s PlayStation Plus free games confirmed

On Wednesday, Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed December’s free games for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers: Lego Horizon Adventures, Neon White, The Outlast Trials, Killing Floor 3, and Synduality Echo of Ada will be free to claim starting Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Lego Horizon Adventures spins off from Guerilla Games’ Horizon series. It reimagines the first game, Horizon Zero Dawn, through a more light-hearted Lego lens. We praised Lego Horizon Adventures as a kid-friendly distillation of the first game in our review, saying, “In telling Horizon’s story of environmental collapse and capitalism gone wild, Lego Horizon Adventures puts a layer of kid-friendly plastic building block abstraction between the concepts and the increasingly inevitable reality.” It’ll be available for PlayStation 5.

Also on offer is Neon White, Angel Matrix’s stylish FPS platformer. It’s fast-paced, and encourages you to take down all the demons that get thrown your way as quickly as possible. Polygon enjoyed it, saying Neon White‘s “difficulty is perfectly curved, its story is disarmingly charming,” in our review. It’ll be available for PlayStation 4 and PS5.

The Outlast Trials is a first-person horror game to be played solo or online with up to three other players. It’s all about stealthily surviving — or just running away from — the horrors the titular trials throw at you. The Outlast Trials will be for PS4 and PS5 subscribers.

Killing Floor 3 is another first-person co-op horror game. You’ll use a variety of weapons to kill all the “zeds” (juiced-up zombies) that stand in your way. It’ll be available for PS5.

The final game on offer is Synduality Echo of Ada. It came out earlier this year, and is a PvPvE extraction shooter where you pilot a mech while fighting alien creatures. Synduality Echo of Ada will be for PS5 players via PlayStation Plus.

December 2025’s lineup of free PlayStation Plus games will be available through Jan. 5, 2026.

For November’s offering, PS Plus subscribers still have time to pick up Stray, EA Sports WRC 24, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator. They’ll expire Monday, Dec. 1

PlayStation Plus comes in three tiers. Essential is the entry level for Sony’s subscription game service, and it offers online multiplayer access, a monthly assortment of free PS4 and PS5 games, cloud storage, and discounts on PlayStation Store purchases. PlayStation Plus Essential costs $79.99 annually, $24.99 for a three-month subscription, or $9.99 monthly.
