A National Hockey League insider has revealed which member of the Vancouver Canucks is guaranteed to be traded before the deadline on Friday, March 6th.

The next few months are going to be very, very busy for Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin and President of Hockey Operations Jim Rutherford as a new report suggests that the team has made veteran players on their roster available on the trade market.

“According to several sources, the Vancouver Canucks have let it be known that – in an effort to get younger – they are willing to listen to offers on ‘veteran players.'” Friedman said.

As one would expect, Vancouver’s pending unrestricted free agents will likely be among the first to be moved out of the Lower Mainland prior to the league’s trade deadline on March 6th and one insider has revealed which Canuck is almost guaranteed to be dealt in the months ahead.

During an appearance on Real Kyper and Bourne on Tuesday, NHL insider Rick Dhaliwal spoke about veteran forward Evander Kane and shared that he’s will certainly be traded by Patrik Allvin at some point over the next the next three months.

“He drives the fanbase here nuts with the penalties, he’s one of the guys that when the Canucks sent out the memo last night, he’s one of the guys that’s going to get moved, there’s no question. He’s got 6 goals in his last 40-50 games.” Dhaliwal said.

The hope was that Kane would come into Vancouver, play a top-six role and be able to contribute like he has in years past, with nine 20+ goal seasons under his belt, but it hasn’t worked out as the Canucks would’ve liked it to.

In 23 games, the Vancouver native has just three goals and 11 points, along with 36 penalty minutes and is a minus-six while averaging 18:00 of ice time per night.

As for what the Vancouver Canucks could get in return for Evander Kane before the deadline, it shouldn’t surprise anyone, given his play, that Patrik Allvin might receive a lower valued asset than what he gave up to acquire him back in late-June, potentially a 5th or 6th round pick unless the club retains salary.
