Charlie Gillespie and Drew Ray Tanner Tackle ‘Sidelined 2: Intercepted’

Nice catch, cheer! Power couple Drayton Lahey (Noah Beck) and Dallas Bryan (Sienna Agudong) return to the field for more fun in Tubi’s Sidelined 2: Intercepted.

Picking up shortly after the events of Sidelined: The QB and Me — which is based on the Wattpad sensation The QB Bad Boy and Me by Tay Marley — the sequel follows Drayton and Dallas as they navigate the challenges of “short-distance” dating while attending USC and Cal Arts, respectively. Squeezing in dates between their busy football and dance schedules is already tough enough, but after a “devastating setback,” their relationship is put to the test like never before.

Drew Ray Tanner, who plays Dallas’ older brother Nathan, still has faith in the couple. “It seems like a very healthy young relationship,” he tells The Nerds of Color of Drayton and Dallas. “I don’t see too much toxicity there. They’re figuring it out as young people do.”

In addition to Beck, Agudong, and Tanner, the film’s lineup includes returning cast members James Van Der Beek as Drayton’s dad, Asia Lizardo as Dallas’ best friend Gabby, and Jason Fernandes as Drayton’s brother Josh.

Charlie Gillespie and Roan Curtis join the cast as new characters Skye, a charming barista/musician, and Charlotte, a no-nonsense physical therapist in training. Expect plenty of cuteness, catchy songs, and angsty moments (plus, lots of Pinoy representation!).
