Michael Olise has been watching all of Eberechi Eze’s Arsenal games and providing feedback

Eze left Crystal Palace to join Arsenal in a £67.5 million deal and is starting to show why manager Mikel Arteta wanted him.

The 27-year-old England international forward has bagged five goals and four assists in 17 appearances.

Eze was in fine form when Arsenal took on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, becoming the fourth player in history to score a hat-trick in the north London derby.

He followed the performance with an assist in the 3-1 victory over Bayern last night, and his former Palace teammate Olise was confident it was only a matter of time before the assists and goals came.

Both players have kept in regular touch since leaving the Eagles, and they met in London during the last international break. They discussed how things are going for Eze at Arsenal.

The Gunners are back in action on Sunday when they visit Chelsea, and the former Palace star will be looking forward to the match.

Eze rejected Spurs to return to the Gunners, having played for them as a schoolboy, and it has proven to be a sensible decision.
