Thanksgiving is all about tradition. One of them is that the Dallas Cowboys always have to play on the fourth Thursday of November due to a decision made by then-general manager Tex Schramm in 1966, who sought to increase the team’s national image. (The Detroit Lions also always play at home on Turkey Day.)
That means Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will have to put off dinner with his growing family for a little while longer as the team plays the Kansas City Chiefs. Prescott has a lot to be thankful for this year, as his fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, recently gave birth to the couple’s second daughter, Aurora, in May. 1. She’s originally from Florida.
Sarah Jane grew up in Tampa Bay, and is the oldest of three sisters. She graduated from Florida State University, where she studied criminalistics and criminal science.
2. She worked in the hospitality industry.
According to The Knot, Sarah Jane switched to hospitality after graduating. She started as a bartender at Marriott Hotels, and later became a wine specialist at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. She then worked as a representative for Moet Hennessy and Diageo before returning to Southern Glazer’s, where she now works as a distribution manager for the Tampa Bay region.
Her Twitter profile still says “wine enthusiast,” although it appears her LinkedIn profile has since been taken down.
3. The couple quietly confirmed their relationship in 2023.

Ramos and Prescott first sparked dating rumors after the Cowboys vs. Giants game during the first week of the 2023 season. She posted an Instagram Story showing herself hugging Prescott while wearing a leather Cowboys jacket. The couple confirmed her first pregnancy a few months later. They got engaged in October 2024, eight months after welcoming their first daughter.
4. The couple have two children together.

Sarah Jane and Dak welcomed their first child, Margaret Jane Rose, also known as MJ Rose, in February 2024. “I feel different,” Prescott told reporters after the birth of his first daughter in 2024. “When you wake up in the morning and you see that baby, you understand responsibilities. And everything that I’ve always wanted for myself, but you want that for somebody else even more. Yeah, it’s special.”
In May 2025, they welcomed their second child, Aurora Rain. The couple shared news of their second pregnancy during a 2024 interview and photo shoot with Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit. Ramos said they had always planned to have their children close in age, being an older sister herself, wants her daughters to grow and learn from each other.

“It’s really special to be a female in this world in this day and age and to watch your siblings grow up and be empowered, taking notes and using you as an example, but [also] being themselves and growing into what makes them their own person,” she told Sports Illustrated last December. “It’s so beautiful to watch and I can’t wait to do the same with MJ and watch Dak become a girl dad, part two. He’s perfect. He’s the best girl dad ever.”
5. She recently quit Instagram.
As the Cowboys prepared for Monday Night Football against the Raiders in Las Vegas on November 17, something else captured fan interest before kickoff. Sarah Jane suddenly removed her Instagram page. She had been active through late October, but then her profile vanished without explanation, prompting speculation about whether she stepped back on purpose or simply needed time away.
