Lions, Cowboys Concession Menus Revealed for Thanksgiving Day Games

Football fans won’t have to miss a Thanksgiving Day meal when they watch the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys in person.

According to the Detroit Free Press‘ Susan Selasky, the offerings at Ford Field include traditional turkey legs, which have a side of cornbread dressing and a cranberry BBQ sauce.

Levy Restaurants also added what they call “Fourth & Feast Fries,” a combination of waffle fries, roasted turkey and cheese curds topped with gravy and a cranberry drizzle.

Among the signature drinks is a cocktail called the “No Pack, No,” a reference to the Lions’ biggest rivals on the field. The drink is made up of rum, apple liqueur, lime juice and pineapple juice, and it’s garnished with lime and a pineapple spear.

Altogether, Levy projects it will cook 2,500 pounds of turkey, 2,000 pounds of mashed potatoes and 1,400 pounds of stuffing during Thursday’s game between the Lions and Green Bay Packers.

Over in Dallas, meanwhile, Legends Hospitality is making 15,000 pounds of turkey and 16,000 pounds of mac and cheese for the Cowboys’ battle with the Kansas City Chiefs at AT&T Stadium, per Tiffany Liou of WFAA.

The “Thanksgiving Hand Pie” figures to be a popular choice. The new creation is a Turkey Day-inspired take on chicken pot pie and combines turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, and gravy.

Fans will also be treated to a Thanksgiving meal in bowl form or a handheld roll.

When it comes to the NFL Thanksgiving Day games, the only people working harder than the players might be the game-day chefs.
