Breaking: Ash Bradnam fired from Nova

Radio’s killing season continues. Ash Bradnam is leaving the top-rating Nova 106.9 Breakfast show after 20 years on air — and he has made in clear that it was not his choice.
Here’s what the star of the Ash, Luttsy and Nikki Osbourne show had to say, as posted on Instagram.

Bradnam’s departure happened on the same day as KIIS’s Robin Bailey, Kip Wightman and Corey Oates hang up their microphones for the last time.
It follows rumours that Nova was hiring for Hit Newcastle announcer Nick “Ducko” Allen-Ducat.
I’ll write more about this soon.
Update: Rumour has it the new show will be Ducko, Luttsy and Susie O’Neill with Osbourne also leaving.
In his farewell break, Bradnam says how proud he was that he and David “Luttsy” Luterall had introduced Susie to radio at a time when nobody in the industry was even thinking of hiring her.
He also said Nova management had told him that Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson would be heard in Brisbane next year, which would be news to Craig “Lowie” Low, who is said to be hosting the KIIS Breakfast show.
Radio is a crazy and increasingly desperate industry, so anything is possible.
Disclosure: Brett Debritz used to work in radio, as did so many people back in the day.
